From your description, it seems to be a case of folliculitis or perhaps a boil, due to trauma/ infection of the pubic hair follicle. Folliculitis is usually a superficial infection but a boil may indicate a deeper infection. The cause is generally staph bacteria. The boils get filled with pus and may finally rupture and drain. You should consult your doctor, who may prescribe a topical antibiotic or a warm compress for relief of pain depending on the severity of your infection.
