Bump on nose

I've had this bump on my nose for at least 3 years. It's skin colored and it doesn't hurt. I can't see pores on it, so trying to squeeze it doesn't help. I've been trying all sorts of treatments, and it doesn't seem to respond. Everytime I mention it to my mom, she always insists that it's a scar and that it'll eventually go away. It's been 3 years! She's so stubborn that she probably wouldn't let me go see a dermatologist.

I don't know what to do. I have a bunch of acne medications that don't work and I want it off my skin.

Any ideas about what it is?

I've read around and compared photos, and this seems similar to what I have:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angiofibroma

I can't find any specific information about it though. It keeps referring me to the angiofibroma variant which is a benign tumor(for which I don't exhibit any of the symptoms).

Yeah, I'm trying to self diagnose,  What can I do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be sebaceous cyst. For treatment of sebaceous cysts, surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.Pls discuss these treatment options with a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
