Bump question

by jake123, Jan 15, 2004 12:00AM
I have asked you 2 prior questions on 12/25 and 1/5..just had one more question for you regarding the 2 bumps remaining on the back side of my shaft. The 2 bumps are about 1/16th of an inch in diameter and have a clear dome look on top. The center is what looks like white and round. I popped one and a white piece of something came out (like a pimple, just a touch more solid).
The one I popped then bled a touch and turned red and became a little more enlarged...now it is just red and irritated.  Those are the only two visible when looking. When I stretch the skin I can barely see a couple others that are very tiny that look about that same. I had a syphilis test done and it was negative.
My worries have ceased about the bumps until I started reading about HPV. The only two partners I have been with over the passed 6 months have had pap smears and are fine. Do they check for HPV in those? Or are my symptoms not indicating HPV or genital warts.  THere isn't any pain nor itching...I sometimes think i might feel a tingle in the area, but I think I'm just thinking about it too much. Should I worry, or are these bumps natural?

Yes, they do check for HPV on Pap smears, and also during examination.  Because the bumps are within the skin, they don't sound like warts, which are on top of the skin.  I think these bumps are natural, and that you should stop thinking about, examining, and poking at them.  Please show a doctor if you continue to worry.

Best.
