Bump that comes and goes

Ok this is kinda weird, about 6 months ago I was taking a shower and felt a slight itch and looked and saw what looked like a mosquito bite. It wasn't red or anything but it had a slight itch to it and I scratched it and then didn't think anything of it. Its located above the pubic region the upper right part where the underwear band wraps around the waist. It healed I suppose but left a slight brown pigment where it had been and stayed that way... I went to the doctor and didn't think it was anything to be concerned about but 3 months later, it came back at the same exact spot as if it never really went away. I became concerned but felt that maybe I was being a little too analystic about it but it has been a few more months and it has done it again. I looked at it just now and noticed it gets a little big like a bite but its not red or any pus or anything.. just rises up and then... maybe 4 or 5 minutes it goes back down and it leaves a very light brown pigment where it was at. Should I be concerned?? I really don't know what it is.. I was freaking out looking around the web and found Syphillus, Genital Warts and Herpes... but they really do not seem to fit the bump I have.. its not like a pimple, or a chancre.. no redness.. no puss... so... let me know if there is anything that anyone may know.. thanks!

Oh thanks! I feel very relieved :D Its the same spot. Like it leaves a brown pigment but then it comes back a couple or so months later but thats it. No other ones.

Hi.

With a previous history of eczema ,then there is a likely chance that this is eczematous. This appears to be localized but there seems to be no change on the character of the bump. It usually recurs with the same character and it usually affects the same area ( is this correct?). This does not seem something to be very worried about. Keep the skin dry and moisturize the area to avoid cracks or nicks on the skin to avoid further irritation. There is no spread in other parts of the body, no discharge and no pain .The absence of these may help rule out an infectious cause.

No not at all. I was watching for any changes in that and I do not have any pain in Urination or unusual discharge. I have been diagnosed with Eczema just thought it was weird that that one spot reoccurs and never had that before. I do have a lot of sensitivity to heat, sweat and such. I have to stay cool a lot. There is no redness at all when it has that reaction.

Hi.

I do not think this is an STD. This appears to be a superficial skin condition. It may be a reaction to sweat, or the tight waistbands of our shorts or pants which hugs the waist tightly. It may be dermatitis also. Just try to observe the skin condition. You have noted slight itchiness, redness and pigmentation. This does not sound infectious to me.

Wash the area with a mild soap and keep the area dry always. Wear only loose pants and refrain from  scratching or picking on the area.

Is there any change in urinary patterns?

Any pain in urination?

Any genital discharge?
