Bump under skin on penis

I've become very concerned recently becuase I've noticed a bump under the skin of the shaft of my penis. I'm not really sure how long it's been there; I've just noticed it recently though.

I usually only notice it when I have an erection and it seems to get become more prominent as I approach ejaculation. If I touch it it kinds of moves or rolls around. It is very difficult to find the bump when I do not have an erection.

Because it is, for the most part, only perceptible when I have an erection, I am very uncomfortable going to the doctor with this. I just wanted to see if there is some readily apparent explanation before I go further.

This is probably a cyst, deep enough in the skin not to be noticeable until you are erect.  The only way to be sure is to have a doctor examine you.  It is, I think, worth overcoming your embarrassment once to find out for sure.

Hi, I have the same exact problem as you.  Mine is shaped like a piece of rice, but smaller.  When I am erect it is noticable, but I cannot find it otherwise.

I am also nervous to visit the doctor.  If you visit, please let me know what he tells you, or if you find out any other information that would be helpful, it would be appreciated. ***@****

Dear doc. I have a long hard...thing under the skin of my penis. It only appears during erections or after ejaculation before my penis becomes unerect. The 'thing' starts from within my pelvic region I believe because I've felt as far as I could with no end, all the way to just before the head of my penis. Is soar when touched and sometimes when just left alone. I'm 18 an at the moment extremely worried.
