Bumps in genital area and inner thigh

by problematic2006, Sep 08, 2006 12:00AM
I am a 23 year old male with redness on my testicles and inner thigh areas, with small red bumps as well in the inner thigh areas. It gets very itchy sometimes, I think especially when it is moist with sweat. I have posted the following pictures, please take a look and tell me what this might be:

Some of the white you see in the picture is from when I tried 1% Hydrocortisone to relieve the itching. And I believe the skin has peeled off from some of the bumps because of scratching.

Also, please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks.

Most of the pictures look like a chafing rash rather than a fungus.  The fourth one shows blisters, which raises the possibility of yeast or a bacterial infection.  I suggest you use nothing other than bacitracin or neosporin and get yourself seen ASAP.  This isn't serious, but it needs treating, and without proper treatment, you're going to be mighty uncomfortable.

Take care.

Do you think this might be contagious?

Unlikely.
