Bumps in my groin area.

Hello, I was hoping that you could answer some questions for me.
First,

About 3 months ago, I shaved my pubic area, and about 2 weeks ago, I started getting red bumps in my pubic area, I saw the doctor and he said it was Folicutis (sorry it spelled wrong), and he prescribed to me Kelfex and Bactrin, I am just wondering if this sounds right to you, and how long would it take or what kind of signals, would it show, that this medicine is working.

Second, I also noted to my doctor of small red bumps on the very back of my tongue, and he said this is normal, to the possiblity of infection, can you give me any answers, that you think is this correct or something else. Its not that I don't trust the doctor I saw, but it is nice to have a second opinion. I know that you don't have my medical history to look at, but have you heard of this before.

In addition, I do not think it is an STD, because my wife and I have been in a monogomus realationship for over a year, and she has been tested twice and they found nothing.

I think your doctor is most likely right on both counts.  But why did you shave your pubic hair?  And if your relationship is monogamous, why was your wife tested twice for STD's?

The reason I guess, I shaved my pubic area, because I was just curious.  Second, when my wife goes in for her Paps, she just gets the STD Test done, just to be sure about everything.  She has many skin tags, in that region, and I think she feels better, to know its nothing else.

But to my orginal question, how long does it take to show an improvement, using the medication, that I am on.
