Bumps on Penis

by penisproblem219, Jul 22, 2009 10:52PM
In march i noticed small bumps on my penis and went to my doctor who told me i had genital warts. I have been treating it with podofilox. Recently, one large one popped up and had a white head on it, this one was different and popped like a pimple (white puss came out then clear then blood) i decided to put pressure on some of the other ones and a small ball that looked like a peril or ball of cartilage came out from under the skin the blood. Now they are scabbed over. These have popped up in the pubic area, the shaft and the head of my penis and once on the edge of my sac. I can't find this issue as a symptom of genital warts. Any Ideas?

Molluscum contagiosum,a viral disease eminently treatable with cryo.

Hello,
These bumps can be due to infection of the hair follicle or molluscum contagiosum.Apply warm compresses and topical antibiotics like Neosporin and if the symptoms persist then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist for molluscum contagiosum.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

i read about molluscum and it says since i popped it now there is the possibility that i could have spread it to other places of my body or even more in the current effected area and now i'm freaking out.

Not that easily you can spread a molluscum like that. The body has local immune mechanisms too.

Hello,
In adults, molluscum infections are often sexually transmitted and can transmit from one site to other skin sites by aoutoinocultaion. Treatment includes physical destruction or manual extrusion of the lesions, cryotherapy, and curettage.I would suggest you  to discuss these options with a dermatologist.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
