Hallo,
Thanks for all the advices. I had continued the medication (applied cream containing clotrimazole) for 10 days as advised by you. After dicontinuiation a boil, hard, reddish and painful appeared in my right noise. Dr. gave me an antiboitic containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid for 7 days. After taking the antiboitic for 5 days it cured. However, after 7 days one boil /brusie, hard, reddish painful appeared in my left armpit. However, I have not taken any medicine except putting one medicated talcum powder (prickly heat) twice in the morning and evening after bath and now it is almost disappeared after two weeks time. However, yesterday another boil/brusie, hard, reddish and painful has appeared in the right armpit. Is it an indication of serious baterial infection in my body or skin ?. I have also headaches in these days. Kindly advice for further medication. Thanks
You can use moisturizer as well as talcum powder. But you should continue to apply the medication for another 10 days at least.
Hallo
Thank you very very much for your kind advice.Accordingly I have applied an antifungal, antibacteria and antiallergic cream containing clotrimaole in the groin region, thigh folds and the skin of testicles. The rashes in the groin region, thigh folds disappeared within 5 days. After 5 days I have not applied this cream. However, still there is light burning sensation in the skin of testicles. Kindy advice whether I continue to use this cream. Skin in the effected areas are very dry. May I use talcum powder or moisturizer. Kindly reply at the earliest.
I shall be thankful to you.
Hi,
This seems like a fungal infection of the groin area which is common in this area and also more frequently seen in hot, humid weather because a warm, damp environment allows the fungus to cultivate greatly.
Tinea cruris is fungal infection of the groin region which causes causes itching or a burning sensation in the groin area, thigh skin folds.Affected areas may appear red, tan, or brown, with flaking, rippling, peeling, or cracking skin.
Tinea cruris is best treated with antifungal creams containing tolnaftate, clotrimazole or miconazole applied on the affected areas.
You have to keep moist and warm areas of the body clean and dry by using talcum powder to prevent recurrences.
