Burning like itch on testicle

by Mark T, Mar 21, 2000 12:00AM
I am being treated for epidiymitis and while the scrotum tenderness is going away I am experiencing what feels like acid burning, pinching, or like a pin pricking into my right sack skin.  I never had this type of pain with epidiymitis before but the general practitioner I saw (I am in an HMO) just said that it must be related to the epidiymitis.  There is no rash, redness or scale just the acid burning like pain on the surface of the skin only on the right side.  Could this be a fungus or skin problem that a general doctor would not know how to identify?

Mark:

The symptoms you describe may or my not be related to epididymitis, but are not those associated with skin problems.  Eczema and fungus have visible rashes which are red, brown, scaly, etc.  For consultation, I think a urologist would be a better bet.

Best.

What are common conditions for itching and redness on the testicle?  And what can I do to clear it up?  It has lasted for approx. 3-4 days
Thanks for your immediate response.
