Burning rash near anus

Hi.

Two days ago when I got home after a very long walk I felt a really burning sensation when I sat down. I have two 1cm wide and about 5 cm long rashes on opposite sides of the anus (close to it but not beside it) that are colored brownish.

There is no itching but when it burns when I walk and when I sit. Whenever I touch them. They are very sore.

The only thing I had done prior to the walk was a night out with a lot of beer. That was two days before I took the walk. I read that beer could cause irritation. But I have never had this happened before.

I don't know what I can do. As it is know I can barely walk or sit.

Hi. Thank you for your answer.

Keeping the area dry and applying zinc oxide paste. I'm still not sure what caused it, but I'm guessing it was from sweating while taking a long walk, with sweaty skin rubbing against each other.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
It can be due to intertrigo, moisture (due to sweating or frequent washing), the abrasion caused by clothing, the pressure of sitting or chemical irritants like laundry soaps, colognes and scented toilet paper.
Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
