CHOLESTEROL DEPOSITS/ XANTHELASMA

IS THERE ANY WAY TO PREDICT IF XANTHELASMA/ CHOLESTEROL DEPOSITS WILL BE PASSED DOWN TO THE NEXT GENERATION?  SINCE MY FATHER HAS THIS CONDITION I AM CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING IT MYSELF.  ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS WOULD BE HELPFUL TO ME.  THANK YOU!!!

This condition is not always hereditary.  Since there's no way to prevent it (cholesterol levels in the blood don't matter,), you might as well relax and hope for the best.  Also, you can treat them early if they do come and bother you.
