Can anybody tell me what is this ?

I am appealing to your knowledge and kind sensitivity over this matter:I have a wart-like very small brown bump at the left base of the penis,1 cm(0,4 inch) above the scrotum...It's only on the skin surface but I've started to be really worried about it.It doesn't hurt,it doesn't feel anything,it's just there.Do you have a perspective on this?Thank you in advance.

Hello,
It can be a sebaceous cyst or a genital wart. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin.
Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.

Warts are tumours or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects used by an infected person.

Exactly what it is can be confirmed only after examination and biopsy.Pls consult a dermatologist and get it examined.

The small wart does not contain any substance,therefore it's not a cyst.I'm also not having contacts of that nature(sex or sharing objects with infected people).I'm suspecting it's because of my poor hygiene,which I am ashamed of course.Also,it's fair to say that I've been masturbating a lot so far,I'm not proud of that.It has not been long since the infection,but I was worrying it could be cancer.Thank you very much
