Hi, when travelling in India I saw a man with this skin disease. Any ideas what it might be (on his cheek)?

For this kind of lesion any malignant pathology like squamous cell carcinoma or lupus vulagris should be ruled out. Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination and biopsy of the sin scrapings.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
