Can "real" superficial scars be totally removed to the point where they are traceless?

Hi. I used a beauty product containing lemon acid which burned some of my healthy skin tissue. Since it only affected my epidermis, it was classified as a first degree burn from a chemical. These burns are all small in size, averaging well under 1 mm in diameter each.My mother is a known person in the medical field, and as a result has numerous peers who she has been able to consult regarding my predicament. I've met with two dermatologists physically and spoken to my mother's friends from a burn clinic, a plastic surgery office, a dermatologist, as well as a cosmetic dermatologist. They've assured me that because of my age (18) and good health & superficiality of the sites of injury, I should be fine. I've explained how when I was about 12 I got a second degree burn w/ blistering from having a plugged in iron fall on my arm, and within a year after my skin showed no sign or residue of ever suffering the incident. I do not have a history of forming keloids, nor does anyone in my blood-line. I am being told that I must wait a year's time for healing to play out and that scarring should not be a concern, but the time lag has me worried and I'm aware I shouldn't be looking for full recovery overnight. Well, I guess my main concern is that IF the damaged parts of my skin still possessed some minor irregularities in texture or what have you, that these flaws could be eradicated my some dermatological procedure of some sort over a given amount of time (i.e., microdermabrasion, chemical peeling, dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, etc.), money not being a concern. I'm not worried about discoloration as I am quite fair and it appears already that there is no concern in me regaining my original skin tone. I just want to ensure that whatever damage done to my skin was not permanent and that over time I wouldn't be left with a reminder of this incident. I might also add that I have been paranoid with caring for it, moisturizing often, applying aloe twice daily, keeping out of the sun, wearing long sleeves & spf 80 if in the sun, keeping hydrated, & eating healthy to gain nutrients to expedite healing in any way possible. Thanks to anyone who had the stamina to read through my inquiry and respond with a realistic answer. hahaha Seriously, I'd appreciate it so much & hopefully it quell my paranoia.
