Can shaving with a dull blade damage my skin?

Is it possible that shaving with dull (not brand new) razor blades actually damage my skin? Replacement razor blades can be expensive and I tend to use them for longer than I probably should. Sometimes I get a bit of razor burn or a small nick or cut, but I'm worried about long term effects.

Is it possible that dull blades might damage my skin and cause scaring or premature aging of the skin, for example, or something else?

No, dull blades cannot damage your skin permanently, or cause scarring or aging.  All they can do is irritate you and give you a poor shave.  Any marks they leave will go away if left alone.

Best.
