Can you take Bactrim and Doxycycline at the same time?

Anyone know if you can take Bactrim and Doxycycline at the same time?

One seems too work on parts of my body where the other doesnt - Im wondering if there would be any adverse effects?

Although there are no reported interactions between the two drugs,but Bactrim contains sulfamethoxazole which is known to cause allergies in individuals having sulfa allergy.

I'm taking both these drugs for a staph infection. I find that one or the other or both make me very lethargic and increase heart palpitations. The doxy makes me very nauseous. Is this common?

Doxy can make you nauseous it has GI sideeffects.Take lactobacillus or youghurt.

I ended up going to an internal medicine Dr - He advised me to try lugol's solution for the acne. Anyone tried this?

He drew blood and is checking Zinc, estrogen and hormone pannel to rule out other things as well.

I went to this Dr because I was on HRT and stopped a few months ago - After becoming lethargic I decided to go to get back on HRT and we talked about the acne that started a few yrs back.

The combo of the Doxy and Bactrim seemed to help but didnt totally clear the problem. Perhaps the Doxy is contributing to the fatigue as well?

Something odd I have noticed is when I applied a product called Cosmetyn(for stretch marks) to my forehead the break outs seem to drasticly reduce.

Here is whats in it - any ideas as to which ingredient may be working?
