Chicken Pox Scars

I got chicken pox when I was around 12 and was left with quite a bit of scarring on my face (crater like scars). I am now 20 and wonder if there are any surgical or other methods that can get rid of them.

Thanks,

Danny

Hi Danny,

Treatment will depend on how deep these chicken pox scars are.  Laser treatment or dermabrasion  may help remove the scars. I recommend that you have  have this checked  first by your dermatologist for proper evaluation.

Take care and keep us posted.

You could get a laser treatment. This can help with removing or improving scars. Also, you could go to the pharmacy and ask the pharmasict if they carry anything that helps to vanish the appearance of scars. There is lots of creams that you can use. It probably won't get rid of the scars but it can improve them a lot.
