Chicken Pox like blisters

Chicken Pox like blisters

About 2 years ago, I started getting these what look like chicken pox blisters on my arms and stomach. I went to the doctor and he said it was Impetago. Well, the treatment he gave did not work, and the blisters started to pop up in various places. I have been back to the doctor several times, each ending in him giving another medication that failed to work. I now have them on my breasts, outer schins of legs, arms and stomach. I don't know what this could be. The doctors don't know, and I am getting hopless. I live in Texas where it is 100 degrees everyday, and I cannot wear shorts or skirts because I am embaressed about my condition. Please, I am pleading, anyone, If you even think you could help, I will try just about anything.

Meghan:

If you scratch or squeeze the blisters, please stop.  Go to the drugstore and pick up the antiseptic cleanser Hibiclens.  Wash with this daily.  Apply bacitracin (OTC) daily to each spot and also put some of it in your nostrils at bedtime to suppress bacteria.  Keep this up for 6 weeks.  At that point, you should have a dermatologist assess your situation, to see whether you could benefit from oral antibiotics.  Remember--never rub or squeeze any spots.

Good luck.

I'm not a doctor but I wondered if you ever had a biopsy done on one of these to see if its Pleva Virus.  You may want to ask your doctor about this.  Also wondered if the dermatologist on this board knew if acute cases of Pleva can affect small fiber nerves causing sensory burning.

I have been suffering with something similar to what you have.  I too have been to several Dr.s about this.  They tell me they think it could be related to nerves.  I have been scratching them and have numerous scars now.  I am gonna try what the dr said and see if it helps.
