Chronic Actinic Dermatitis

by tunnellight, Sep 16, 2009 08:41AM
My doctors have declared a working diagnosis (meaning GUESS) of chronic actinic dermatitis, although I do not fit the typical profile of middle-aged to elderly male. Results from two biopsies will be available next week. In the meantime, I have been reading about this condition and I do not have the rash in the most common places, including the face and back of hands.

Does anyone know anything about this condition. I have a 20 year history of PMLE but the first biopsy ruled that out, which I already knew since I have had this rash for more than a year. Current affected areas are back, chest, forearms, upper arms, hip, and back of neck.

Thanks in advance for any information you can share.
