Concerned about Penile Cancer

I have what appears to be a dark splotch near the base of penis, about 1.2 inch. from the base, above large visible gland on my penis. Its smaller than the size of eraser and it is asymmetry. I went Dr. and he said it looked like it came from a broken vessel, if it does not go away (did not give time frame) he said just go see a Dermatologist, but he did not seem concerned about it. I asked if its penile cancer, he said no. I am a 25 year old male and circumcised but I worry its penile cancer. I have only notice this splotch for about 3 months and its not going away.

Circumcised men rarely of ever get penile cancer.  Also, this splotch sounds like a blood vessel, not cancer.  By all means let a dermatologist look at it, so you'll know for sure.  It's probably going to turn out to be not worth treating.
