Contant pain on the glanz

by gotpain, Sep 06, 2008 05:40PM
I perheps had Genital Herpes II back in 2001. I said perheps because it was diagnosed positive once by my doctor. I had sex about 7 months before the first time I got some blisters on the glans. The blisters were red and tiny and did not open up. They just came and went away in a day or two. They did cause discomfort a little bit, like you put some small things under the forskin, but did not cause pain at all. Such blisters came another 3 times in a year, and then never came back again.

However, since I got such blisters, the glans became very sensitive and developed a constant pain, everyday. My doctor treated me with anti-fungi creams (another doctor said the pain might have been caused by such irritating creams), and a lot of other medications and creams. Nothing so far worked.

I wonder whether HSV should cause such a pain? Anything could help me?

Definitely. The skin in that area is more susceptible to irritation.  I was given prescription steroids to use for a rash in the area. The thing turned into a light bulb for the red light district. Get tested again.
I have constant pain on my inner thighs and scrotum. No answer from any docs.
The skin looks perfectly normal. Sometimes the pain is on my left foot. Feels like a bee sting.

Hi,

The first herpes outbreak is usually the most painful, and the initial episode may last longer than later outbreaks. Aside from herpes sores, some people develop fever, muscle aches, headaches or painful urination.

If the disease returns, later outbreaks generally have much less severe symptoms. Many people with recurrent disease develop pain or a tingling sensation in the area of the infection even before any blisters or ulcers can be seen. This is due to irritation and inflammation of the nerves leading to the infected area of skin. If it persists, it would be good to see your doctor for proper management.

Take care and keep us posted.

I never got pain on those blisters. No fever or any other kind of pain either. It is after a couple times of rashes that I started to feel the pain and the pain has been staying ever since.

It worth mentioning that the pain exaggerates if I sit for a while, e.g., during watching a movie. The pain also gets exaggerated when the environmental temperature drops, e.g., sitting in a air conditioning bus. One of the dermatologist performed biopsy on the glans and saw mild inflammation and nothing else.
