I have a problem and I would highly appreciate if somebody could help me with it.
I have a callus/corn as I was wearing a lot of high heeled shoes. But besides the corn
is. No matter how hard I will pumice it it will be back which causes me not only esthetic problems but also it give a terrible odor to my feet.
Could it be any form of fungus?
Hello,
If the lesions are producing odor, then fungal infections are an important possibility to be ruled out. I suggest you to get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done to confirm the diagnosis.
For callus, you can go in for removal by surgical means or with keratolytic agents (medicines that break up hardened areas of skin). Shaving or cutting off the hardened area on the skin by a doctor is also helpful.
