Cortisone cream on Infant and Pigment problem

My 2 month old was prescribed a cortisone cream of 1% to use sparingly on her face once a day for a week. It helped her eczema but now her skin has changed from from light brown to white with her natural skin color looking like a ring around her face. It's been a month now and I would like to know if her natural color will return? If so how long will it take? I never knew that would happen in such a short time with such small amount.

Hypopigmentation due to cortisone creme would clear in a few months.Apply only moisturizers. Do consult your doc.

Hello,
It looks like hypopigmentation due to use of steroid cream. Mostly it goes away on its own after exposure to the sun. Creams like Elidel cream or Protropic can be used on these hypopigmented  areas but at such a young age it is not advisable to use them .

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
