Could this be intertrigo?

About 4-5 days ago I noticed the feeling of a small rash between my scrotum and thigh.  I thought it may have just been jock itch and didn't worry too much about it.  I soon noticed that it was 2 little fissure looking cuts.  They have now come together and the edge has spread up and a little bit onto the testicle.  I have not felt sick; However, the area is very flush red, itchy, sore and has an odor.  Could it be intertrigo, or some other sort of fungus?  If what is a good over the counter topical.  If it got infected would the anti-fungal cream do the trick or should I see my dr. for and antibiotic?

An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds.It most commonly occurs due to bacterial,viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics.Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps.For the itching pls take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin.In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.
