Cracked Skin

by dm10, Sep 11, 2008 02:35PM
I had a rash on my chest a few days and yesterday when I woke up the rash was gone but the area it was completely dried out. Later on that day the skin started cracking and there was an intense burning sensation. This morning I bought some Neosporin and have been applying it to the area. The burning goes away for awhile but returns in about two hours after I use it. The label says to only use it 1-3 times today and I just used it for the third time. Can I use it again if the burning returns or do I have to deal with it until tomorrow?

The rash is gone but the skin where it was is dried and cracked. I've heard that moisturizers only irritate cracked skin. Like I said, I've been using Neosporin on the cracked area and it's been helping. My question is that is it ok to use it more than three times a day.
