DANDRUFF OR BLIZZARD

by joedev51, Feb 21, 2009 11:06PM
For the past couple of years I have had really, really bad dandruff. I have tried every dandruff shampoo under the sun, but nothing seems to work the dandruff comes back the very next day. I have seen a doctor and he just said, try another shampoo. What can I do to get rid of this terrible dandruff. I can't wear anything dark because it looks like snow. I am so tired of the flakes. PLEASE HELP !

Hi,

There are different dandruff shampoos in the market. You may need to experiment with them to find the one that works best for you (Coal-tar preparations, pyrithione zinc, salicylic acid and sulfur, selenium sulfide and ketoconazole). It is important that daily washing with an antidandruff shampoo is done to decrease oil and cell/flake  buildup.  If it persists, you may need to use a stronger prescription lotion or shampoo.

Take care and regards.
