Dandruff that wont go away

I cant seem to get what I think is dandruff to go away.. I have tried everything.. Nizoral worked for a while, but is no longer working that well. None of the other dandruff shampoos work at all really. I also have flakes in the eyebrow area. Are there prescription pills I can take to get rid of this or a prescription shampoo that will work.. SHould I see a doctor.

For dandruff, you can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.

If the symptoms are severe then seborrheic dermatitis or adult cradle cap need to be ruled out.
