Dark Blotchy Skin on Inner Thigh

For years i have had this very dicolored(dark) blotchy skin on my inner thigh.  It does not itch or cause any discomfort.  It appears to be only in the area where my thigh skin would be in contact with my scrotum both sides(not on my scrotum).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You!!!   Charlie

P.S. i am 37 years old and i have had this for at least 12 years

I have same issue and I tried putting petroleum jelly, which fixes it for few hours. But the problem would still persist the following day.

The skin has turned quite, in the effected area. And I have noticed that itchiness start to pinch when the environment gets a little hotter than normal.

Please help...!!

Hello,

This seems to be due to chaffing of the skin in the groin area. Chafing often occurs on the inner thigh, groin area, armpits, nipples, etc. as a result of sweating, and friction from body parts rubbing together, or friction from clothing.

Take adequate amount of fluids, wear snug fitting but not tight fitting clothes, choose clothes that have a breathable texture like cottons, have few or flat seams and always wear washed clothes.also keep your inner thighs dry by using a good quality talcum powder and if the dryness still persists then pls apply petroleum jelly or good quality moisturizers on the area.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
