Dark spots on lips

Ive had 2 dark spots on my bottom lip for a while now. They look like birth marks but ive actually havent had them since birth. they came out a few years ago. But, now i am noticing that the 2 exact same spots are not on my upper lip. When i press my upper and bottom lip together they are identically like touching. Could it be that it spread to my upper lip. What can this be? I have been wearing lipgloss for years. I also have a Baterial cervical infection at the moment.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms and picture it looks like oral melanotic macule. Oral melanotic macule is a benign, dark spot found on the lips or inside the mouth.
A biopsy has to be done and laser treatment is the main treatment option.
I sincerely suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
