Darkened spots on feet

I have some freckle looking spots on both my feet and i haven't been to any doctor yet i dont know if this is something i should worry about. A previous question about this was posted here http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Dermatology/Freckle-type-spots-on-top-of-left-foot/show/439336 . The picture looks similar to what i have, but the spots on my feet are much larger covering almost 30% of my feet. Any idea what it could be?

Without examination it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis,but it can be solar keratosis(small rough or scaly areas of skin due to damage from sun exposure), solar lentigo, seborrheis keratosis(small lumps due to a thickening of an area of the top skin layer),moles or freckles.
Use liberal amounts of sunscreen before the age of forty, avoid the sun, and wear protective clothing. The newest treatment for age spots is an alpha hydroxy acid gel or beta hydroxy acid gel. Retin-A cream, alpha hydroxyacid peels, and liquid nitrogen therapy are other options.If the symptoms persist then cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen and laser may be needed.
