Daughters spots

Recently my 6 year old daughter started developing zit like spots in her one armpit and then a large round spot with a dark ring around it, probably about the size of two - fifty cent peices.  I scheduled a Dr appointment for when the girls are with me and my wife.  The girls mother cancelled the appointment and started applying "fluocinonide Cream usp, 0.05%".  My wife and I are unsure of this tactic, my ex wife apparantly had a prescription for this cream and put it on my daughter.

Fluocinonide is a steroid cream and should be used with caution. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist first and get the diagnosis confirmed. Then only this cream should be used.
