Hello,
Demodex mites live inside the sebaceous glands and hair follicles, sucking nutrients from the hair roots and damaging the cell walls. It can cause itching, crawling sensation on the face or (and) in the scalp and sometimes there are no symptoms. At a further stage, acne can develop, after some time, the facial skin can become red in places.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
