Prior to this, I've had very long and very thick hair. Never colored it, permed it, and rarely blew dry it. Also rarely any dandruffDandruff control Seborrheic dermatitis problems or scalp issues.
However once the hair loss surpassed a 50%+ loss, the scalp also began to get irritated. I have been suffering from an intensely itchy/tingling scalp, along with numerous scalp pimples for months now. The pimples are sometimes wet and dry into scabs, where I end up scratching/peeling it off. Hence also causing a lot of flaking. The pimples are always in the same areas on the scalp and it comes and goes throughout the day.
Please help me. I have been incredibly unsuccessful at finding a doctor who could give me any clue as to what is happeneing. And my fear of these pimples/scabs of permanently damaging the hair follicles increases by the day.
What could this be? Could the TE have caused the scalp irritations, or is it the other way around? I've been waiting for it to go away or at to diminish for a long time.. hoping it's something temporary or that it's all in my mind.
The doctors that I have seen says it's just TE and seborrheic dermatitis. But would these cause such scalp irritation? I have been trying not to pick at the scabs or pimples, but they still feel inflamed and itchy.
Emotionally, this has slowly destroyed me in the past year and current. Physically, it has been utterly distracting. Please help...
