Dermatofibroma

My doctor recently diagnosed a red raised bump as dermatofibroma. Since that time, vie developed two more similar spots on the same arm. They are each spaced about two inches apart. The original one is now scabby, and every time one piece of dead skin falls off, another one forms.

Do I need to see my dr about this? Is it normal? Was I misdiagnosed?

Thanks!

Hello,
A dermatofibroma presents as solitary, 0.5- to 1-cm nodule which may have overlying skin as blue, brown or black. To confirm whether this is a dermatofibroma or any other benign growth like a seborrheic keratosis or some simple cyst, you need to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist and get a biopsy skin done.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
