Dermographism Syptoms(symptoms) now Itchy Bumps and Blisters

Hi,

In early May of this year (now September) I started getting symptoms of Dermographism. I was pretty itchy on my back and woke up one morning with the blankets and pillows having left red marks. I realized that if I applied pressure to anywhere on my skin then they would leave these hive like lesions for about 5-10 minutes. Also I would have this intense burning itching in my palms and feet.

Fast forward about 2 months later and the dermographism has now subsided. However I started getting these bumps and clusters on my arms and a few on my back. I thought that they were bites at first but more started appearing. They itch and then blister at the tip and then scab up. I went to a Chinese doctor he said it was exema (eczema) caused by an allergic reaction to something. It has started to get slightly better but all the while my hands and feet have been itching and burning occasionally. I take an atnihistamine for this. However, now I still have these bumps turning to blisters on my arms legs and back but what's worse is I have a ton of blisters now on my palms and fingers. It looks alot like dyshidrotic eczema. The creams and Chinese medicine don't seem to be working or not working fast enough? It all started in the spring and is continuing. Any ideas of how to treat and what it might be? The only places where I have absolutely no symptoms is my genital area and face and neck.

Thanks,

Hello,

It looks like dyshidrotic eczema or herpes sores. Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized. Use only thin applications of moisturizer ointments as excessive amounts of ointment may restrict breathing of the skin and aggravate the condition.

Topical steroids can be applied but they are available under prescription. Moreover to prevent infection, topical antibiotics may be needed. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated. Also if they are painful then get herpes ruled out.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
