Do i have genital warts and if not what do i have?

by sugarcoatedsour, May 22, 2005 12:00AM
About a year ago i started growing small bumbs on my crotch right above my shaft.  I went to a doctor and he told me it was from shavinG(i have shaved for 3 years).  I remain sexually active and practice safe sex.  About a week ago I got a scare that this might be genital warts or skin tags. After researching online and compairing them to pictures they dont look much like genital warts.  I went to my doctor and he told me to go get checked out by a dermatologist.  It will be a long time untill i can get to one.  What i need to know is do i have genital warts and if not what is it and how can i get rid of it.  Like i said its not on my penis at all.  And the few girls that i have sexual relations with do not have anything wrong or test positive for anything.  Please help me close the book on this annoying problem.  Oh they dont ich or cause any pain.  They are just there.  There is about 15 of them around the bottom of the penis right were i shave.

You will need to see the dermatologist in order to get a specific diagnosis.  I can tell you that penile warts are very often on the shaft itself.  Since the doctor you saw didn't think they are warts, and you say they don't look the warts you have seen on line, then they are probably not warts.  But again, you will have to wait to be examined to know for sure.  Meantime, please don't pick or rub them, since that will make it harder for the dermatologist to tell what they are, when you get to be seen.

Best.
