I am a girl and I have had Rosacea for about three years before I was diagnosed. For a good two years, it was constant inflammed redness accompanied with pain and little blister-like bumps on my cheeks, nose
creams seem to have lost their effective-ness (even after switching products multiple time). I always aim for natural non-irritating products. I was wondering what permanent/or treatable damage could have been done in those three years? It was pretty bad and my skin is always red now. I know that is from the Rocasea, but I am wondering what skin aging may have happened? Does Rosacea increase skin aging (sagging, wrinkles, etc.)? What type of skin aging usually occurs from Rosacea damage and more specifically, does it cause your skin to become loose and sagging? Because I am pretty certain it damages the skin, I just don't know how.
Hello,
Unfortunately I have never heard of rosacea causing any increased skin ageing (aging). In severe and rare cases, the oil glands (sebaceous glands) in your nose and sometimes your cheeks become enlarged, resulting in a buildup of tissue on and around your nose which is called rhinophyma.
