Does anyone know what this could be casued from?

I have developed a rash under both my armpits.  The rash is about 4 inches by 2 inches and seems to cover the area where the skin rubs against each other. The rash started off with mostly red area with a couple pimples for about 4 days on each armpit and now it has turned into a light brown color for about 3 days.  This rash does not itch or burn.

This started of at the same time that i had a sore throat and now the sore throat is healed but the rash is still there.  Sore throat healed after 1 week

One possibility for such kind of rash is erythrasma. The typical appearance is well-demarcated, brown-red macular patches. The skin has a wrinkled appearance with fine scales. Wood lamp examination and gram staining are the tests for its diagnosis.

The standard therapy of erythrasma is antibiotics and antifungals because it is caused by a bacteria C minutissimum. Erythromycin is the drug of choice. Mild steroids are helpful in reducing the inflammation associated with it. But use it only after a dermatologist’s prescription.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
