Does it always get worse?

From what I have been seeing on the internet it seems that it must always get worse. Are there cases where the desease Hidradenitis never goes beyond red painful bumps are must it always lead to scaring and open oozing sores. My doctor recently said that he thinks that I have this thing, but he only looked at me for about five minutes, is that enough time to know for sure? What if he is wrong. I am so scared, I can't sleep at nigh and I can't eat, What do I do?

Hidradenitis, like many conditions, has a spectrum of severity.  Some people get oozing sores in their armpits all the time, some get them occasionally, others not at all.  So no, it does not have to get worse.  As to the diagnosis, hidradenitis is a pretty straightforward one, so a few minutes would indeed normally suffice to make it.  If you're uncomfortable, I suggest getting another opinion regarding diagnosis and treatment.
