Does my girlfriend have warts on here vagina

by drewmc, Jul 11, 2006 12:00AM
My girlfriend has a rough ridge on both sides of the lips around the bottom of her vagina (lighter flesh color than the other lips).  I did not think that it was HPV because it wasn't "severe" enough as the pictures I have seen.  I have now read forums were people claim that the warts are not that big as those pictures.  Those pictures are just extreme cases.
She has had the same formation for about 7-8 months (that I can remember, could be longer) with no physical changes.  She went to the gyno around this time for a yearly checkup, and the gyno said she was clean.  I have known her for 10 months.
Could I have given her anything?  I have no physical signs whatso ever.  How long does it take to get the first wart???
If she does in fact have HPV how does this affect me medically.  We have not used a condom since we first started to have intercourse, a while back.  As I said I have no symptoms.  Could I, even though this has been an issue so long and we have had unpretected sex so many times within that time span.

The bumps you describe don;t sound like warts.  Her gynecologist didn't think they're warts.  So I guess they aren't.   They don;t sound like any other STD either.

Best.

Is there any other explanation?  We have had this conversation in bed many times, and I have no idea what to tell her but to see a dermatologist.
