Dozens of Cherry Angiomas (?) Suddenly Appeared

Fall 2016, I had many tiny, raised bright red pinpoint dots appear on my skin.  A couple on my face and arms, but primarily on my chest.  I remember wondering if it had to do with a change in medication (I normally take no medicines, but I think I took some aspirin at that time).  They are still there, months later.  Any ideas why I'd suddenly have these pop up?  Until now, I'd never had cherry angiomas (assuming that's what they are, I have not been to a dermatologist).  They are 1-2 mm in diameter (I'm an engineer, trust me on measurement lol).

Female, 47, nonsmoker, no drugs, very light alcohol use (1x per week), prolonged QT dx 2013, 5'2" and 115lb.  2016 was extremely difficult, with death of my father and then flu, pneumonia, and kidney stones all through months of November and December (spots arose before November) so perhaps stress related?  Now going through TE from all the physical stresses in November and December as well.  Boy, am I a picture of health haha.
