Dry Lips

Hi!
I went to a doctor a week ago due to yellow/white marks on my lips. He said that it was due to some reaction maybe because of some lip balm I'd used and that it would be gone or much better in about two weeks. That was one week ago and I don't see any improvements at all. One day the marks were just there and they have spread some on to the lower lip and up on the higher levels of the upper lip. He seemed very confident and said he would bet money that they would disappear by themselves in about two weeks or so. I feel a little bit worried and wonder what they might be...

Hi,

You need to drink plenty of water and also keep your lips well moisturized. Apply a medicated lip balm with a sunscreen to avoid damage due to the sun.

Eat a healthy diet and replace it with any deficient vitamins and minerals.

If your lesions still persist, it would be best to see a skin specialist for a confirmed diagnosis and to rule out any other cause of the spot.

Are you allergic to any substances? What symptoms do you have other than the lip lesion? What is your age? Do you smoke?

Let us know if you have any other doubts and also about what the specialist advises.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
