Eczema Flare-Up

Eczema Flare-Up

I have always struggled with eczema for as long as I can remember....it would flare-up a week or so and then clear up and be gone for quite some time...The past couple months my eczema has reached an insane height..I have it really bad (when I say bad, I mean like skin is blistered/open and the color tone is dark - probably from it trying to heal and then being reopened) on my arms (the crease of elbows) and for the first time ever really bad on my neck and right above my chest area...I've tried lotions and vitamins (which usually worked in the past)..now I'm at a lost as to what to do - I know that when at the beach it would clear up (due to the salt water), is it ok to use a salt scrub? or should i not be scrubbing it at all? As far as the itching goes, I've tried anti-itch cremes and nothing works (well it would work for like a day, but then it's almost like my body got used to the idea of an anti-itch and decided that it would itch 10xs what it did before the itching creme) - Not sure what to do..esp. since as of right now I don't have insurance, are there any good home-rememdies i could try?

You need antibiotic to break the itch pleasure infection eczema cycle. An antihistamine to take care of the itch, hydrocortisone application for the rash.I am not familiar with your OTC brands but a doc should help you out.
