Eczema cycle of treatment and symptoms

I'm a 26 year old male. I get mild/severe eczema on my face when i see my Doc he prescribes me Trimovate or Eumovate cream to use for 2 weeks. During these 2 weeks my face feels great.. the redness pretty much goes completely. But because i can only use this treatment for 2 weeks the eczema comes back after a week without the steroid creams. So the cycle begins again..

Is there anything i can do?

Hello,
Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. Doing so tends to increase effectiveness and reduce side effects from medications.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist. Symptoms  can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
