Efudex 5% Improperly Applied

by Ouch908, Aug 01, 2009 10:37AM
Treated AK's on hands with Efudex as directed by Doctor.  Completed 2 week treatment 1 week ago.  No problems.

Somehow during the process accidently applied cream to scrotum area.  Expericencing redness, pain, itching, sensitivity, and some twitching.  Concerned about possibility of accute dermatitis.  Have cleaned the area with warm soapy water and am applying neosporin for 4 days which has offered some relief.  Are there any other effective treatments.  Level of discomfort seemed to be improving yesterday morning but expericend pain/discomfort later at nighttime.  My Dermatologist is unreachable for 3 days so looking to see if this will subside soon and if any over the counter medicine or creams available.

Thank you.
