Elocon side effect

Dear Doctor

My 6 months old son got small red colured circles under his neck and in other skin folds.
We visited one dematologist and he prescribed "Elocon", but after applying Elocon with in 4 to 5 days he lost the skin and got white patches wherever we applied the cream.

After seeing these side effects we visited another dermitologist and he asked us to stop using Elocon and he prescibed Siloderm and VitiX to apply in alternative days (One day siloderm and another day Vitix).

Will his skin restore and will come to normal condition? the current treatment  that we are taking will have any side effect again.

Please suggest me!

Thanks a lot! Now I am confident on the current treatment.
Intially I was worried because once I already gone through wrong diagnosis/treatment.

Hello,
What your son had was post inflammatory hypopigmentation reaction. It could be due to an allergic reaction to the Elocon(steroid) cream. The creams that the dermatologist has prescribed should benefit your son and the marks should blend with the skin.
