Evolving mole on side of face

Hello!

I've been keeping an eye on my mole for a few years now after it became raised. Earlier today, I took a picture of it, as it is in a difficult location to spot (on the side of my face). The mole has been feeling a bit more dome like than usual, but I can't tell if that is due to my paranoia or really is. My question is, I'm fairly certain my mole didn't have the light brown border around it, and now it does. Does that light pigmentation count as a border, or is it referring to the border of the actual mole? Does this warrant getting checked out?

You should get this mole checked from a dermatologist. As a thumb rule, if you notice changes in the mole's/mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful.Otherwise it should be left as such.
