I have a severe case of ezcema (eczema), allergies, and asthma. Which I was told by doctors that they are all linked together. But just a few weeks ago, the skin under my lips
have been really dry and itchy. So I have been putting lotion at first. Then over time it had seemed to be getting worse. So I tried putting hydrocortizone, and Triamcinolone Acetonide (something I use for my ezcema (eczema)). And it has only been getting worse and more painful
over time. I finally thought Vaseline would do the work, since my skin looks dry and its cracking open. But even that didn't work. When I was applying medicine, I smelled something funny, so I smelled my finger
and it smelled like some sort of infection. I'm not 100% sure though. Does anybody know what this is? How to get rid of it? I can't eat properly or smile, or laugh because it hurts if i put too much pressure
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be perioral dermatitis. Perioral dermatitis is a chronic papulopustular and eczematous facial
dermatitis.Treatment consists of oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided.
If the symptoms are not controlled by topical antibiotics, then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult your dermatologist and discuss this with him.
I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
