Excessive skin sensitivity around wrists

excessive skin sensitivity around wrists, up top of hand and also going up arms.  my own breath bothers me, long sleeves actually hurt when touching these skin areas.  this comes and goes and I never know when it will be and certainly not Why.

It can be due to nerve pain, fibromyalgia or parasthesia. Fibromyalgia is a disorder classified by the presence of chronic widespread pain and tactile allodynia (pain even on touching). Complete physical examination along with investigations like ESR blood, platelet count Rheumatoid factor, nerve conduction velocity test, creatine kinase, electromyography and muscle biopsy may be needed to make a diagnosis. Please consult a physician for that.

Antidepressant drugs have been used frequently to treat fibromyalgia. Amitriptyline and Fluoxetine have been used to treat fibromyalgia. If the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is confirmed then you have to start with these.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
